Swimming Pool Rules
 

1.     1. All members, family members, and guests must register upon entry to the pool area.  A
      member must accompany each guest.  A guest charge will be applied to the member’s
      account.
2.      Lifeguards will be present during operating hours; however, the Club assumes no liability for
      the safety of anyone using the pool or its facilities.  The lifeguards will be in charge of the pool 
      area with authority to enforce all rules including limiting the activities of anyone disturbing
      others.
3.      Under no circumstance is the pool to be used unless a Club lifeguard is present and on duty. 
4.      Only proper attire will be permitted in the pool.  Cut-offs, thongs, and other similar dress will
      not be allowed. 
5.      Food must be eaten in the designated area.  Only food or drinks purchased from the Club
      may be consumed on Club property. 
6.      Running and roughness in the pool area will not be tolerated. 
7.   Children under the age of 9 are not allowed in the Pool Area without an adult or guardian 14
      years of age or older.  The responsible adult or guardian must be present in the Pool Area at 
     all times (and must register at the check-in desk as the designated guardian of the identified
     children).  Members children from age 9 through 12 are allowed in the Pool Area without being
     accompanied by an adult or guardian 14 years of age or older if such child passes a swim test 
     administered by a lifeguard or pool manager (the swimmer must be able to easily swim the
     entire length of the Marietta Country Club Pool and tread in deep water for not less than one
     minute).      
8.      The wading pool is for small children under the age of six. 
9.      All children two years of age and under are required to wear a wristband.  Wristbands will be
      issued to all children aged two and under who are wearing an approved diaper.   
10.  All children aged two and under, whether toilet trained of not, are required to wear a Marietta
      Country Club approved swim diaper. 
11.  A “Lost and Found” will be located in the pool office during the swim season.  If not claimed 
     within 2 weeks these items will be disposed of. 
12.  Any rule violation may result in suspension of pool privileges for the remaining portion of the
      pool season.

The Aquatic Staff has full authority to enforce all safety and sanitary measures deemed necessary for the proper operation of the pool.  They are charged with the enforcement of all pool policies and rules.  Please do not ask them to make exceptions to a rule for you, as they do not have the authority to do so.
