Golf Rules Updates in red effective 9/1/2009.
- Operating hours of the Golf Shop will be published and posted. They are subject to change without notice. The practice range and golf course will remain open until dark.
- Green fees shall be charged for all guests and Equity Social and Equity Tennis Members. The green fees may be changed at any time by the Board and shall be posted if a change occurs. Weekend green fees are in effect on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and holidays.
- Members are not allowed to play or practice on days when the Club is closed.
- U.S.G.A. “Rules of Golf” will be observed. Local rules shall be enacted by the Golf Committee and posted.
- All players and guests must register in the Golf Shop before beginning play or practice.
- Tee times may be required on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Reservations, if necessary, must be made by phone only between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM on the Tuesday immediately preceding the date requested and by telephone or in person any time thereafter.
- Cancellation of a starting time must be made as early as possible but in any case at least one hour before the scheduled tee time.
- Guests may be invited to play golf under the following conditions:
- All guests must register in person and fees must be paid or charged in the Golf Shop prior to play.
- The same guest will not be permitted to play more than ten (10) times during a calendar year even if invited by a different member.
- A member is limited to a maximum of three (3) guests at any one time. Requests to have more must be presented to the head professional at least 24 hours in advance of the requested date.
- All guests (including prospective members) must play with a member.
- Players must start on the number one tee of the nine holes designated by the golf staff unless granted permission or instructed to start elsewhere. No single player (onesome) is allowed to tee off from the #1 tee on Saturday until 2:00 p.m. Twosomes must pair up with another twosome or single if directed by the Golf Staff to be allowed to start on the first tee on Saturday prior to 2:00 p.m.
- Players must take personal responsibility for the course. All ball marks should be repaired, divots filled with sand, and sand traps raked.
- Practice is restricted to designated areas only.
- Players are required to follow all directives from course marshals or golf staff.
- Groups of five or more are not allowed prior to 2:00 p.m. daylight savings time during the months of April through November, unless authorized in advance by the professional staff.
- The first tee is reserved for men’s play between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM on Wednesday and Friday; for ladies play between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM on Thursday; for senior men between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM on Tuesday.
- All players, including children, must be properly dressed for play or practice. Sweats, short shorts, tennis shorts/skirts, biker pants, bathing suits, and jeans are strictly prohibited. Men’s shirts must have sleeves and collars, or be a turtleneck or mock turtleneck style. Men’s shorts must be Bermuda length, slightly above the knee – no cargo style shorts. Men’s shirts must be worn tucked in to pants or shorts. Women’s shirts may be collarless. All hats and caps must be worn in the proper manner.
- All golfers shall wear regulation, soft spiked golf shoes. Wearing of spikeless shoes, other than regulation golf shoes, must be approved by the professional staff.
- Members are responsible for acquainting their guests, including children, with these dress rules. Club management will deny golf course privileges to any individual whose attire is not considered appropriate.
- All players must have their own bag and clubs.
- All children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult on the golf course and practice facilities unless previous approval is given by golf staff.
- The Club accepts no responsibility for property in lockers or bag storage.
- No jogging or walking is allowed on the course after 8:00 AM or the start of play, whichever comes first. No bicycles are allowed.
- Players are not allowed to drive golf carts on to the course if conditions warrant cart path only.
- All players must evacuate the course or take refuge in one of the approved shelters immediately after the storm / lightning warning horn has sounded.
- Pace of play should be 4 hours or less for 18-holes of golf.
- Violators of these rules will receive a written warning on the first violation and then will be subject to a minimum fine of $50 for any repeat violations.
Only at the discretion of the professional staff may these rules be waived to accommodate demand and facilitate play.
Golf Cart Rules
- Players must register for a cart prior to its use.
- Cart fees may be changed at any time by the Board of Directors and shall be posted if a change occurs. No cart fees are charged for the practice area and these carts must remain in the practice area. Violators will be charged a cart fee and will be subject to a fine established by the Club.
- Golf carts may only be driven by those persons licensed to operate a motor vehicle.
- Members and their guests are personally responsible for any damages to their cart. The Club assumes no responsibility for accidents or damage caused by golf carts. Reckless driving or violation of golf course or golf cart rules may result in forfeiture or suspension of the privilege of golf cart usage and the privilege of playing golf. Cart users (including guests) agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Club and its Officers, Directors, and employees from any and all injury, damage, or claims of any nature whatsoever whether to person, property, or both, that may arise out of or result from or through the use of golf carts.
- When the 90 degree Rule is in effect all motorized golf carts, on holes where carts are permitted onto the turf, shall stay on the cart path until they reach a point at an angle of 90 degrees from the ball, at which point they may proceed to the ball. Carts may thereafter use the fairways or rough to proceed toward the green. All carts shall return to the cart path at or before the red markers (approximately 50 yards from the green). To minimize damage to the turf, carts should avoid wet areas at all times and should stay at least 10 yards away from bunkers. Based upon conditions, some holes will be clearly marked as cart path only and all par 3 holes are always cart path only.
- Club owned carts may be driven in the parking lot to load or unload equipment. Carts can only gain access to the parking lot by the path next to the Tennis Courts and carts must be returned to the staging area at the bag drop or the area left of Lakeview #1 tee box.
- Only golf carts owned by the Club shall be allowed on the course.
- Manual or electric pull carts must be kept at least ten (10) feet away from the greens and fringes, and the players must follow all directives issued by the professional staff. Players are not allowed to bring a personal pull cart on the golf course unless it is
- Only Member-owned electric pull carts registered, inspected, and tagged with the official seal will be allowed on the course. Violators will be subject to fines and/or suspensions. The Club will provide approved pull carts for a reasonable fee.

- Medical Flags will only be issued if the member has a doctor’s excuse on file stating that a medical flag is warranted. At the discretion of the Golf Course Superintendent, if the golf course is too wet medical flags will not be issued. When using a medical flag cart path only must be adhered to on all par 3’s and holes number 13, 14, and 16.
- Violators of these rules will receive a written warning on the first violation and then will be subject to a minimum fine of $50 for any repeat violations.
